Overview
Prime Cinemas, a well-established chain of movie theatres, approached our product design team with the goal of enhancing the user experience of their mobile app. The existing app was functional but lacked a user-friendly interface and features that could engage and retain customers effectively. This case study outlines our journey to redesign the Prime Cinemas Mobile App with a focus on improving usability, functionality, and aesthetics.
Objective
The primary objective of the Prime Cinemas Mobile App project was to create a user-friendly, feature-rich application that would not only allow customers to conveniently browse and book tickets for movies but also provide a seamless and personalized experience throughout their cinema journey. The app aimed to increase customer engagement, drive revenue, and position Prime Cinemas as a modern and customer-centric brand.
Features
Goal Breakdown: Allows users to define a goal and break it down into smaller tasks or milestones.
Progress Tracker: Visual representations (like charts or progress bars) to display how close users are to achieving their goals.
Daily Reminders: Sends notifications to users to remind them of tasks or actions linked to their goals.
Motivational Boosters: Daily motivational quotes, success stories, and challenges to keep users inspired.
Social Integration: Connect with friends or the app community to share goals, seek support, or engage in friendly competitions.
Analytics: Provides insights into user's progress over time, showing patterns or habits that are helping or hindering.
Learning Center: Offers articles, tutorials, and expert advice on effective goal setting and achievement strategies.
Journaling Feature: A space for users to reflect on their journey, challenges, and learnings.

Key Learnings
Working on this problem helped me widen my understanding of sedentary lifestyle and its ill-effects. Finding the right features that solved the users problem was challenging, but this project helped me get out of my comfort zone & challenge myself to deliver user centric solutions.
However, there are still a lot of inputs & features that could be added with proper testing and identifying the problem with the help of real-time user data.
